Staying Sharp Wall Hanging Kit
Weekly Breakdown
We’ll be sewing together step-by-step—easy to follow and totally doable, even with a busy schedule.
• Week 1 (Tuesday May 5): Pattern & fabric prep
• Week 2 (Tuesday May 12): Cutting + half blocks
• Week 3 (Tuesday May 19): Finish all blocks
• Week 4 (Tuesday May 26): Assemble & finishing
(Sew at your own pace if you need—this is meant to be fun, not stressful!)
Fabric + Supplies
We will be using my new collection Honeyed Horizon by Moda Fabrics for this quilt but you are welcome to use whatever fabric you would like! You can learn more about Honeyed Horizon and see the Staying Sharp Quilt in my market booth tour! While the sew along is free, you WILL need a copy of the pattern.
The great news is that the pattern includes all three sizes...Throw, Wall Hanging, and Pillow. I like to joke that depending on how much you like the teacher, you can decide which size is fitting! You can check your local quilt shops or both the PDF and Print versions of the pattern are available!
Here’s what you’ll need to create the wall hanging version:
- Background – ½ yard (SKU: 47012-11)
- Eraser – ⅜ yard (SKU: 47014-15)
- Yellow Pencils – ⅜ yard (SKU: 47011-13)
- Teal Pencils – ⅜ yard (SKU: 47010-20)
- Pencil Base – ¼ yard (SKU: 47014-12)
- Pencil Tip – Fat Eighth (Bella Solids Charcoal)
- Binding – ⅜ yard (SKU: 47017-20)
- Backing – 1¼ yards (Suggested: 47010-20)
